Belleville High School Wins Second Division 1 Championship Title


On Saturday, November 26th, the Belleville High School Varsity Football Team won their second D1 State Championship in a row, defeating Caledonia 35-17.

After leaving by bus from Belleville High School, the team was driven through downtown Belleville, which was lined with fans cheering them on either side of Main Street. The team carried on to Ford Field to play in their second consecutive D1 State Championship game after defeating Rochester Adams 55-33 in 2021. 

At the end of the 1st Quarter, the score was tied 7-7. By half-time, the game was still tied, but at 14-14. In the 3rd Quarter, Belleville took the lead at 21-17 and finally won the game at 35-17.
